Calvin H. Proctor, 85, of Cleveland, died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at his home. He was born February 14, 1930, in Belle, West Virginia and moved to the Cleveland area in 1952. Calvin proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired as a foreman for Auto Bolt and Nut Company in Cleveland. Calvin is survived by his children, Michael Proctor and Cathy Proctor both of Cleveland; grandson, Billy Proctor of Cleveland; great grandchildren, Natalie Proctor and Nicholas McCord; siblings, Wayne Proctor of Vermilion, Sheena Totten of Glasgow, West Virginia, Phyllis Thacker of Ypsilanti, Michigan, Ruth Ash of Ypsilanti, Michigan and Brenda Payne of Diamond, West Virginia and brother-in-law, Lloyd Ash of New London. He was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Mae (nee Hundley) Proctor; parents, Harry and Irene (nee Butterworth) Proctor; brother, Flash Gordon Proctor and Grover Proctor and sisters, Norma Ash and Lilly Christie. Calvin's family will greet friends Monday, August 24, 2015 from noon until the 2 pm service held at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery, New London with military honors.
