Norwalk, Ohio - Carl J. King, 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Ohio. He was born July 19, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Carl D. and Laura (Calhoun) King, and came to this area in 1952 from St. Louis. Carl was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, and Knights of Columbus Council #626. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marine serving in the South Pacific, and the U.S. Army serving in Germany during W.W.II. He was a former employee of Apex Washer Company, Zimmerman Boat Service, Lyman Boat Works, Ferrell Cheek Steel Company, Arnold Excavating Company, and Northern Ohio Telephone. Carl enjoyed golf, and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Arlene (Arnold) King of Norwalk, Ohio, by his sons, Michael (Sue) King of Bellevue, and Mark (Lori) King of Toledo, Ohio, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his son, Timothy King in 2016, and by his sisters, Pauline Arnold, Edna Snelson, and Alma Zimmerman. There will be no calling hours. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Eric Schild will officiate.
