Carl Eugene Kolb, 58, of Wellington died unexpectedly at his home. Born in Wellington on January 18, 1956 to the late Lewis and Jeanette (nee Lewis) Kolb, Carl was a lifelong resident of the Village and graduated from Wellington High School.
A farmer, Carl operated his own farm for many years. He was a member of FFA and Carl could routinely been seen spearheading a Fish Fry at Keystone High School. Carl loved farming, being outdoors and listening to audio books.
He leaves behind his daughters, Nada (Allen Stepp) Kolb, of North Ridgeville, Sara (Andrew) Matuska, of Elyria, Ashley (Sharonda Expose) Kolb, of Mansfield and Jennifer Kolb, of Midland City, Alabama and 3 grandchildren, Talon, Enzo and Andrew, Jr. Carl is also survived by his siblings, Betty Hughes, Alice Burns, Larry, Jerry and Ken Kolb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, August 7, from 6 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington.
