Carlos "high pockets" Collins of New London passed away peacefully at Twilight Gardens in Norwalk on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. He was 77. He was born August 1, 1941 in Floyd County, Kentucky, son of the late Edgar "Ted" and Mary A. (nee Leedy) Collins. Carlos graduated from New London High School and worked at Sterling Castings in Wellington as a core maker until he retired in 2003. Carlos was a private man who loved to hunt and fish and cherished time with his family. A loving brother, he will be fondly remembered and missed. He is survived by his siblings, Anette M. Hamilton, Phylistine (Bee) Shepherd, Orville (Erika) Collins, Eddie D. Collins, Larry (Cindy) Collins and Phil (Cindy) Collins and sister-in-law, Becky Collins. In addition to his parents, Carlos was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Collins. The Collins family will greet friends Monday, March 4, 2019 from 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. service at Eastman Funeral Home in New London with Larry Collins officiating.
