Obituary

Carmen Marie Dudash (nee Gnandt), 68, of Lorain, died Sunday morning November 29, 2015, at Ames Hospice house in Westlake. She was born on July 30, 1947 in Oberlin to George F. and Eleanor L. (nee Toth) Gnandt. Carmen grew up in Penfield and was a graduate of Keystone High School. Carmen worked at University Hospitals as a secretary for many years, and also owned her own medical transcription business. She was a member of the Lorain Historical Society and enjoyed volunteering with the Lorain County Metroparks. Carmen was passionate about animals and loved her cats and dog. Her family will always remember her as a wonderful cook. Carmen will also be remembered as a devoted Cleveland Indians fan. Carmen is survived by her loving husband of 24 years Adam Dudash; son Shawn (Vikki) Gnandt of Pasadena, CA; parents George and Eleanor Gnandt of Penfield; siblings Mark Gnandt of Akron, Karen Napoli of Avon Lake, Eric and Kurt Gnandt both of Penfield. Friends and family will gather on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Penfield Township Hall, 41012 St. Route 18, Wellington.
