Carol Sue Eastman

Carol Sue Eastman, 79, of Willard and formerly of Greenwich, died Friday, June 26, 2026 at the Willows of Willard. Born on June 22, 1947, in Willard, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Minnie (nee Mason) Ratliff. Carol spent her youth in Willard before making her home in Greenwich.

For several years Carol worked for Mid West in security. She had an artistic eye and enjoyed crocheting and making flower arrangements. Some of her happiest moments were spent sitting on the porch with her Husband Red, waving as people went by. Many times, a stranger would stop to thank them for the kind wave and would leave a new friend. Carol also had a love for scratch off tickets and feeding the squirrels.

Survivors include her children, Kendra (Allen) Beekman, of Ashland, Karen (Tad) Fox, of Twinsburg, and Elden Eastman Jr., of Willard; step-children, Tim (Judy) Eastman, of Norwalk, and Tammy Henry, of Plymouth; grandchildren, Heath (Vicki) Bowman, Lauren (John) Sabo, Katie (Jenny) Fox, Anna (Cam Labry) Fox, Chris (Kayla Sarka) Fox, Tiffany (Robert) Shays, and Justin Eastman; great grandchildren, William, Whitney, Noelle, and Kyler. Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Elden “Red” Eastman; a daughter, Kathy Greer; and siblings, Liz Sherman, Luella King, Jimmy Ratliff, and Garry Ratliff.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, June 30, from 2-4 p.m. at Eastman’s Funeral Home, 49 West Main Street, Greenwich, services will begin at 4 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com.
