Norwalk, Ohio - Carol Jean Emerick, 72, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, September 7, 2018 in Fisher-Titus Medical Center. She was born March 22, 1946 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Robert J. and Beulah I. (Benner) Sanders, and was a lifelong area resident. Carol was a nurse's aide at Gaymont Nursing Center, Norwalk, Ohio, for many years. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Carol is survived by her children, Jennifer (Donald) Dusenbury of Westerville, Ohio, Carl J. (Jill) Emerick of Norwalk, Ohio, and Theresa J. (Kevin) Mills of Norwalk, Ohio, and by 9 Grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, David Sanders of Clyde, Ohio, Joyce Fallet of Columbus, Ohio, Linda Hayes of Vermilion, Ohio, and Diane Skiver of Norwalk, Ohio. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Terrance Emerick in 2003, and by her siblings, James Sanders, Bobby Sanders, and Eugene Benner, Sandy Ward, and Kate Jensen.
