Norwalk, Ohio - Carol L. Reed, 83, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday evening, October 5, 2017, in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. She was born December 25, 1933 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Fred A. and Mamie B. (Gorby) Goodenough, and was a lifelong area resident. Carol was the former bookkeeper for Reed Automotive, Norwalk, Ohio, and was a member of the Car Coddlers Club. She enjoyed playing rummy, and going to auctions. Carol enjoyed riding along in their antique cars, and going to car shows. She is survived by her children, John N. (Lori) Reed Jr. of Norwalk, Ohio, Cynthia L. (Thomas) Sparks of Milan, Ohio, and Christina L. (Mike) Bryant of Norwalk, Ohio, by her grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, and Andrew, and by her great grandchildren, Sophia, Aubrey, and Mia. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Reed in 2016, by her infant son, Timothy M. Reed in 1959, and by her sisters, Blanche Esposito, and Dorothy Maust. Friends may call on Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
