Carolyn Ann Gray, 75, of Wellington, died Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Elyria Memorial Hospital. Carolyn was born March 18, 1936 to the late Harvey and Grace Ann (nee Litchfield) Ray. Carolyn grew up in the New London area and graduated from New London High School. Carolyn worked for Green Circle Growers for several years. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening and going to rummage sales. She also adored time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her companion of seven years, Arthur Gallam, her children, Carol O'Dor, Karen Hunter, both of Lorain, James Stackpole of TX, Donna Stackpole (Ronald Younglass) of Clarksfield, Rosa (Gary) Cloudt of Oberlin, and Theresa (Art) Scott of Wellington, as well as 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings George Ray of New London, Virginia Hassa of Rochester, and Geraldine Warren of New London. Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Bricker. Friends will be received on Monday, March 28, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington.
