Cary J. Grant, 56, of Sullivan, died Sunday April 17, 2011 at Lodi Community Hospital. Cary was born December 12, 1954 in Cleveland to the late Harless J. and Meady Marie (nee Eagle) Grant.
Cary served in the United States Army. He has lived in the Sullivan area for the past 20 years and worked as a CNC machinist for Spencer Forge and Manufacturing. Cary loved riding motorcycles and was an avid reader. He enjoyed shopping and cherished time with his family, especially at cookouts.
Cary is survived by his wife of 34 years Dawn Drylie, his children Brandy R. (Troy) Freed of Elyria, Stefanie (Marcus) Chacey of Sullivan, Elizabeth (Chad) Butts of Elyria, Cary J. Grant II of Spencer, and Nicole A. (Scott) McMennemy of Fredericksburg MD. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lee Miller, Keegan True, Kaitlin Smith, Brandon Freed, Dylan Butts, Derrick Chacey, Marcus Chacey, Blake Butts, Hailey Grant and Lydia McMennemy and a half brother Arnie Karaks of Indiana.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday April 20, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. and from 5-7 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main, Wellington.
