Catherine F. Lyons, 75, of Oberlin, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at the New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain. A daughter of the late William and Mary Estep, Catherine was born in Mason, WV on August 29, 1935. Catherine lived in the Wellington area for the past 40 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Elyria and enjoyed helping with the Girl Scouts. Survivors include her children, Georgetta (Robert) Hurst of Elyria, JoAnn (Rickey Page) Wolfe of Elyria, Rebecca Underwood of Oberlin, Larry (Norma) Lyons of Wellington and John Lyons of Oberlin; 20 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren. Catherine is also survived by sister, Jennie Neal of Logan and brother, Herman Estep of Mason, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; daughter-in-law, Pamela Lyons; son-in-laws, Frank Underwood and Tom Wolfe; four brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 15 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington, where the Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
