Catherine Ann Styer (nee Klingler), 81 of Wellington, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday, morning April 3, 2011 at her home in Wellington. She was born in 1930, at home, in Nova, Ohio and had lived most of her live in Wellington. Catherine gradated from Sullivan, Ohio in 1948. She worked at Ashland Rubber in Ashland, Ohio, C. E. Ward Company, in New London, Ohio. She also worked at Forrest City Foam in Wellington, Ohio and Kiddie Kollege Day Care in Wellington, Ohio. Catherine was a 41-year member of New Life Assembly of God, Wellington, Ohio. She loved gardening and at one time had over 4,000 strawberry plants along with a two-acre garden. She loved her flowerbeds, feeding birds and squirrels. Her very special love was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Catherine was well known in the area for her cooking, but her specialty was her pies, especially peach pie. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Joseph Styer, Jr. Her children Jeanene nee Horvath (Bob) Collins of Wellington, Franklyn (Pamela) Horvath of Vermilion, Rick (Lori) Horvath of (Elyria), Sandra Styer of Lexington, Ky. She had seven grandchildren, Bobbi (Collins) Forrest, Brian Collins, Erick Horvath, Sarah Horvath, Daniel Horvath Lindsey Horvath and Stephanie Lawrence. She also had five great grand sons: Jason, Preston, Camden, Grayson and Hudson. She is also survived by siblings Robert Klingler, Alvin Klingler, Marge Halada, and Barbara King. She was survived by her faithful and loving dog, Butterscotch. Her first husband, Frank Horvath, precedes her in death. Parents Lydia and Russell Klingler; sisters, Betty Musser and Martha Welch and son, Theodore Styer. Friends may call at Penfield Community Church, Penfield, Ohio on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from 2 to 4 o'clock and 6 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Services will be at Penfield Community Church on Thursday, April 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Christopher Reutepohler of Penfield Church will officiate. Interment will follow in to Huntington Cemetery, Huntington, Ohio In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185 St. Cleveland, Ohio44119, and American Cancer Society, 2047 Lorain Rd, Cleveland OH 44126.
