Charlene Ratliff, beloved mother & sister, age 72, of Greenwich, died Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Twilight Gardens Nursing Home, Norwalk after a short illness. She was born August 14, 1935 in Salyersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Eddie and Gracie (Farler) Ratliff. She lived in Greenwich most of her life. She is survived by her son, Jack (Nancy) Ratliff of Norwalk; 2 daughters, Gwyndle Kravec of Maryland and Vanessa (Mike) Shenberger of Snellville, Georgia; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; a special niece, Charlene Steffani of Republic; a brother, Elzie Ratliff of Greenwich; her sister, Marjorie Picklesimer of Sugar Hill, Georgia. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank and Clyde Ratliff, 3 sisters, Barbara Keysor, Corraine Johnson and Judy Johnson. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 West Main St., Greenwich where funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2007. Rev. Edward Gayheart will officiate and burial will follow at Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
