Charles "Chuck" Gary Fortner, 57, of Norwalk, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2020. He was under the care of Stein Hospice in Sandusky. Chuck was born on November 19, 1962 in Montgomery, WV to the late Charles H. and Verna (Metheney) Maurer. He was a Navy veteran and served in the Gulf War. At the time of his illness he was employed by Wikel Trucking out of Huron, OH.
Charles is survived by his sisters, Tammy (Bob) Perkins, Debbie (Paul) Hanson; his brothers, Roger Fortner, and Mike (Nikki) Maurer and several nieces and nephews that he loved so very much.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and love, Kathy Meyer Fortner; his daughter, Kaitlyn Fortner; his sisters, Joyce G. Gilbert and Carla Fortner and sister in-law, Jodie Fortner.
Charles enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and working on vintage cars. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, as he always helped them with anything they wanted or needed and so much more.
