IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles F.
Marietta
March 27, 2025
Charles F. Marietta, 86, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, March 27 at Admiral's Pointe in Huron.
He was born in Greentown, son of the late John and Edna Marietta. He grew up in Malvern and Monroeville. After graduating from Monroeville High School in 1957, he attended drafting school and worked at the Faulhaber Company. He later worked at Clevite Elastomers in Milan before starting his own business, Norwalk Equipment Corporation.
After learning Bible truths and that God has a name, Charlie was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1971 and remained an active member of the Norwalk congregation. One of the greatest joys in his life was sharing his faith with others. Charlie also enjoyed studying the deeper things of the Bible, diving into several personal research projects and making charts so that it would be understandable to others. He also had a thirst for knowledge of all sorts and enjoyed sharing what he learned with the goal of helping others to learn also.
Charlie was known for his quirky sense of humor and usually had a joke to share. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Chuck (Jennifer) Marietta of Norwalk; a stepdaughter, Teresa (Joey) Palumbo of David, KY; and grandchildren, Austin (Joslyn) Marietta of Monroeville and Chelsea (Gavin) Zell of Marysville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mae Marietta; sisters, Bonnie Childers, Barbara Blystone and Patricia Liles; a half-sister, Iverna Fallecker; a brother, Homer Marietta, in infancy; and a grandson, Ian Michael Marietta.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25 at 7:00 PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 37 Cline St, Norwalk.
