IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles "Chuck"
Raymond Finley
November 15, 1947 – April 4, 2023
Charles "Chuck" Raymond Finley, 75, died April 1, 2023. Born in Youngstown on November 15, 1947 to the late Charles E. And Elmo (nee Boye) Finley, Chuck grew up in the Boardman/Youngstown area and spent most of his adult life in Maple Heights. He graduated from Youngstown State with a Bachelors in Business Administration.
For many years Chuck worked as a retail buyer for companies such as Higbee's, Burrows, and HD Supply. In his spare time, Chuck coached softball in Madison and served on council as vice president of Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Bainbridge. One thing we was very proud of was in the Boardman marching band where he played the tuba and when the band wrote out script Ohio he got to do the "i."
He is survived by his wife, Catherine (nee Slawinski) Finley; two sons, Stephen (Joann) Finley and Benjamin Finley; four stepchildren, David (Robin) Blauman, Jennifer Mechleke, Michelle (Howard) Selig, and Don Blauman; 8 grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, Dominique, Austin, Megan, Jessica, Tyler and Ryan; 7 great grandchildren, Wesley, Isabella, Emery, Anastasia, Logan and Jonah; and sister, Patricia Stroth. Chuck was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Doug Mechleke.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 12 pm until the time of services at 2 pm at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Expressions of sympathy can be given at: www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
