Christine Kelly, 83, of Wellington, died Monday, September 23, 2024, at Mercy Lorain Hospital. Born on September 29, 1940, in Honaker Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Jeff and Sintha (nee Kidd) Akers. Christine grew up in Kentucky and moved to Wellington in the early1960's.

Christine worked for Whirlaway in Wellington for many years. She was an active member of the Wellington Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, spending quiet moments on her front porch and socializing with friends. Christine was an animal lover as well. Most of all she cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Cynthia Hunter, of Harold, KY, Roy (Wendy) Kidd Jr., and Greg (Lori) Kidd, both of Wellington, and Lisa (Edward Underwood) Kidd, of Frisco, TX; grandchildren, Dylan Kidd, Grant Kidd, Michael Kidd, Amanda Kidd, Matthew Cody Kidd, Cory Kidd, Justin Kidd, Nicholas Hunter, Christopher Hunter, and Stefanie Hunter Hammonds; 8 great grandchildren; and a sister Hazel Cole. Christine was preceded in death by husbands Roy Kidd Sr., and Dean Cline; and siblings Ronald Akers, Emma Lou Clark, Lil Coffman, and Walter "Bud" Akers.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, September 28, from 10 until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. at the Wellington Freewill Baptist Church, 205 Woodland Street, Wellington. A reception will be held after the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Huntington Township Cemetery.
