Christine M. Robertson, 93, of New London, died Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Home in Ashland. Christine was born November 15, 1915 in Huron County, daughter of the late, Cecil (Underhill) & Charles W. Daron. She had resided in Ruggles Twp., Nova and the New London area most of her life. Christine had attended Ruggles local grade school and graduated from Nova High School in 1934. She was a star basketball player in high school. The pink carnation was her favorite flower. She was a member of the New London United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Thomas & Susan Robertson of Salem, Oregon and Larry & Char Robertson of rural Ashland, Ohio; grandchildren, Kristin (Cameron) Ayers and Alex (Robin)Robertson of Oregon, Shawn (Caroline) Robertson and Stacy Patton of Ashland; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, Raymond in 1995 and brothers, Lynn Daron in 1991, Wayne Daron in 2000 and sister, Geraldine A. Sayles in 2008. Private family services will be at the Grove Street Cemetery, New London with the Good Shepherd Chaplain, Pastor Julie Thoms on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials can be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, Ohio 44805.
