Christopher Jon Adams, 56, of Wellington died unexpectedly at home on January 7, 2026. Chris was born in Oberlin to Clifford “Mike” and Molly (Wight) Adams on September 18, 1969. He attended Lorain County JVS his last two years of High School in the Machine Trades Program and graduated from Wellington High School in 1988
Chris worked as a LIM Process Technician for over 29 years at Forest City Technology. Previously, to his employment at Forest City he worked at Sectional Die.
He was an active member of Wellington Eagles, American Legion and Wellington VFW.
In his spare time, Chris enjoyed going to clubs, spending time with his family and friends, fishing, hunting, gardening, barbecuing, garage sales and estate sales.
He formed strong bonds with his coworkers and his reliability on the job. His dedication and commitment extended beyond the workplace, reflecting his values of integrity and camaraderie.
Chris had a unique gift for making everyone feel seen and valued. His generous spirit, warm smile and humbleness brightened the darkest days.
He was cherished by a wide circle of friends. To know him was to love him. He had a huge heart, sense of humor and quick wit like no other. You never knew what he was going to say.
His legacy of compassion, humor, quick witness will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
Chris will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His unwavering, kindness, sense of community, and love for life will leave a lasting impression that will not be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Mary K West (Asbury), sons Christopher B West, Joshua L. West, brothers Jeffrey and Matthew Adams, Stepmom, Sandy Adams, Stepsisters, Shelley Orsik, and Beverly Stephens.
Chris was preceded in death by his brother Michael Adams, January 20, 1980, parents Molly J (Wight) Adams, September 25, 2009, and Clifford “Mike” Adams, January 9, 2024.
A Celebration of Chris’s life will be held March 28, 2026, at Wellington Eagles, 631 S, Main Street, Wellington 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
