Christopher King, passed away April 23, 2014 at his daughter's home after a brief illness. He was surrounded by the love of his family. Christopher was born in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Washington DC. He attended college at the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a BS in Petroleum Engineering. He also was a football and track star. Christopher moved to Ohio to work with the East Oho Gas Company, starting in the fields near Canton and retiring after working for many years at the Cleveland office. He made his home in Brecksville, OH. Christopher King also was a director on the Cuyahoga County Fair Board where he served as Secretary for many years. He loved gardening, cooking, and his children. He is survived by his children Amy Christmas(Ron), Lesley King, Christopher King Jr., Wendy Marett (Brian), Julie King, his grand children Tyler and Corey Marett, his sister Emily O'Hara, and brother John(Lee) L King and many nieces and nephews. The family invites you to a memorial service on Saturday June 7, 2014 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home in Wellington, Ohio with calling hours at 10:00AM and the service at 11:00AM. A reception will follow at Bread and Brew in Wellington immediately following service.
