Christy Jeanette Munns

Christy Jeanette Munns, 52, of Norwalk, died Friday June 19, 2026 at Fisher Titus Medical Center. Born on February 19, 1974, in Norwalk, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Jeanne (Albright) Munns. Christy was a graduate of Edison High School as well as the Bowling Green State University.

Following graduation, she joined her family in starting Care Works Inc. The business began as a child care and early education business and with Christy’s help it moved into driver’s education in 1999. When she was not working with her family, Christy enjoyed traveling, especially out west. She enjoyed her time in Seattle, San Francisco, the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. Christy had a special place in her heart for animals, especially those that were abandoned and particularly cats. In a final act of compassion, Christy was an organ donor.

Survivors include her parents, Kenneth and Jeanne Munns; siblings, Adam Munns and Brigette (Eric) Gibson; nephew, Anthony and niece, Kaylin; her aunt, Deborah Munns and cousin, Renee Munns.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, June 25, from 1 p.m. until the time of services beginning at 2 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk.
