Clair Rhine, 79, of Greenwich, passed away Friday, May 8, 2009 at Hillside Acres in
Willard after a lengthy illness. Born in Ripley Township on October 15, 1929 son of the
late Stiles and Grace (Huffman) Rhine.
Clair was a 1947 Greenwich High School graduate. He worked at Westinghouse in
Mansfield and for the B&O Railroad. Clair proudly served in the United States Army
from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Evelyn Rhine of Greenwich
and his sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Ben Maple of Springtown, Texas, many
nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his sister in law, Joy Rhine.
A graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16th at the Edwards Grove Cemetery in Greenwich with Pastor David Cobb of the Ripley Church officiating. Eastman Funeral Home, Greenwich, is in charge of arrangements.
