Clayton "Claydog" Damron, age 69, of New London, died September 11, 2018 due to a stroke at Fisher-Titus Medical Center. He was born on May 29, 1949 at New London Hospital to the late Milford and Rosie Gay (nee Sturgill) Damron. Clayton was a 1967 New London High School graduate and a lifelong New London resident. He was member of the New London Eagles and served on their board. He will be fondly remembered as a "Jack of all trades and a master of none". Clayton is survived by his children, Justin (Shannon) Damron, Tracy (Rodney) Allen and Tami (Brian) Harp; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Shirley (David) Williams, Audrey (David) Smith and Gail (Steve) Krisha. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends are invited for a memorial visitation from 10 am until the time of the noon service on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main Street, New London. Interment will take place in Grove Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed towards the family in care of the funeral home.
