Clinton L. Yates, 73, of New London, died on October 19, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Clint was born on April 26, 1951, in New London to the late Carbet and Siltana (Meade) Yates.

Clint was a man of many talents, known for his remarkable handyman skills, Clint spent countless hours helping friends and neighbors with home repairs and projects. He had a passion for collecting classic cars and rebuilding them to their former glory. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, tinkering with lawn mowers, and camping under the stars. Above all, Clint treasured the moments spent with his grandchildren, sharing stories, laughter, and life lessons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carbet and Siltana Yates; his son, and two daughters; two sons and one child who passed away in infancy.

Clint is survived, by his loving wife of 32 years, Barb (Hardy) Yates; his 13 children, 34 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one more expected in December; two sisters, and one brother.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St, New London, where his funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, beginning at 2:00 p.m. burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery.
