Clyde Edward Cade, 81, of Wellington, died at University Hospitals, Cleveland, on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Born to Ruby (Rigsby) and Charles Edward Cade, Clyde was born March 16, 1945, in Charmco, West Virginia. He graduated from Rupert High School and then volunteered for the draft and proudly served in the United States Army.

For 25 years, Clyde worked at Cleveland Ship Repair Company as a welder and foreman. A true outdoorsman, Clyde loved hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. He was a talented horseshoe player and attended the World Tournament. Clyde also enjoyed bowling and was part of the 300 Club several times. An avid Ohio State fan, Clyde was always cheering on the Buckeyes.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Loma Cade; children, Sharon G. (Melanie Mangan) Cade, Diana M. (Edward) Dull, and Brenda L. Beck; 5 grandchildren, Carl (Nikki), Lauren (Christopher), Brandon, Paige and Cody (Trista) and 5 great grandchildren, Brandon, Jr., Avacyn, Greyson, Gage, and Carl. Jr. Clyde is also survived by his siblings, Leathal Powers, Charles (Adelle) Cade, Anita (Jim) Scalla, Dee Nevel, Wayne (Maria) Cade, and Marilyn (Mike) Boling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and Charles, and brothers, Roger and Daniel Cade.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington. Arrangements were entrusted to Norton-Eastman Funeral Home where fond memories and condolences can be given at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
