Clyde Hazlett, 84, of Wellington, died August 17, 2012, at his home after a short illness. He was born in Lucas and lived most of his life in Wellington. He worked for Lorain Medina Rural Electric Cooperative Inc. for 37 years and retired in 1990. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Lola (Smith) Hazlett; children, Kathy (Vernon) Wells of Grafton, Linda (Jim) Donaldson of Wellington, Jim (Judy) Hazlett of Henderson, Nevada, Jill (Scott) Gross of Fremont, Mike Hazlett of Wellington and Scott Hazlett of Wellington; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Annabel (Kline) Hazlett; brother, Harold Hazlett and sisters, Patricia Archer and Helen Fortune. A gathering will be held at the home of Linda and Jim Donaldson, 23000 Pitts Road, Wellington on Sunday, August 19th from 1-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Clyde's name be given to New Life Hospice, 3700 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053 or donor's favorite charity.
