Cynthia L. (Hines) Czernec, 65, of Oberlin, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Mercy Lorain Hospital. Born in Lodi on October 22, 1956, to Larry and Bernice (nee Ellis) Hines, Cyndi grew up in Wellington and graduated with the Wellington High School Class of 1975. She graduated from Myers University in 2002 with a BS in Business Administration.

She recently retired from the Murray Ridge Center, where she was a Production Manager. Cyndi had a special place in her heart for everyone at Murry Ridge and loved taking clients on outings to baseball games and movies.

Highly active in pet rescue, Cyndi cared deeply about finding new homes for dogs – even saving several by welcoming them into her own home. She will be remembered as a kind, loving, beautiful person who was patient and extremely generous with her time and gifts.

Cyndi is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Christopher; son, Ryan Carmichael, of Oberlin; grandson, Ethan Carmichael, of Oberlin; mother, Bernice Schaefer, of Elyria; brothers, Eric Hines, of Elyria, and Russ Hines, of Arlington, TX ; sister, Diane Yeager, of Wellington and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Hines.

Her family will hold a private service and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
