Cynthia Clarice (Shepherd) Morris, 'Aunt Nin', age 45, of New London, died Sunday, May 25, 2008 at Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk after a long battle with brain cancer. She was born November 22, 1962 in Norwalk. Cynthia was a 1981 graduate of New London High School and attended Mansfield Business College for 2 years. She had worked for several years at the Fitchville Restaurant, at Kent Sporting Goods in New London and at Rolling Acres Golf Course in Nova. She was a charter member of the New London Eagles Auxiliary 2869, a member of the North Fairfield American Legion, an avid golfer and Nascar fan, and an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her sons, Josh Shepherd and Lucas Morris both of Fitchville; her parents, Randy & Millie (Phillips) Shepherd of Fitchville; her grandmother, Martha (Marge) Phillips of Mansfield; 2 brothers, Jeff (Mickey) Shepherd and Bill (Angie) Shepherd all of Greenwich; 2 sisters, Kim (Doug) Risner of Greenwich and Beth Pelton and Mike Oney of New London; 10 nieces and nephews; 1 great niece and 1 great nephew; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; her lifelong friend Brenda Perkins of Fitchville. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ed & Patsy Shepherd, her maternal grandparents, Frank & Clarice Phillips, her grandmother, Lizzie Bradley, her uncles, Edward and Lowell Shepherd.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6 ' 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday with Rev. Glenn M. Phillips officiating. Burial will take place at a later time at the Fitchville Cemetery. Memorials if desired may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
