Dale A. Figley, 71, currently of Norwalk and previously of New London, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at FTMC. Born April 1, 1943, in New London, son of the late Albert and Dorothy Figley. He worked in sawmills, D.W. Nesbetts and Sons of Huntington and later after retirement Dale worked for Christie Lane. Dale enjoyed watching TV, riding his bike earlier in life, loved putting puzzles together, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. He never really knew a stranger. Survived by his sisters, Mary (Burbon) Slone of New London, Rose (Walter) Parsons of LaGrange, IN and Doris (Edward) Schilens of Elyria and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings, Samuel, Garry and William Figley, Alberta Parsons and Carol Bennett. Visitation 7-9 pm Tuesday at Eastman Funeral Home, 200 W. Main St., New London where a service will be held noon Wednesday with Evangelist Charles Mead officiating. Burial will follow at Grove Street Cemetery, New London. In lieu of flowers, contributions on the family's behalf may be made to Eastman Funeral Home.
