DANIEL GEORGE BABITT, a life-long resident of Wellington, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 in Ft. Myers, FL at age 66. He was the beloved husband of Gloria (nee Biczykowski) Babitt for 33 years; and a loving father to Tricia (Kurt) Farr and grandfather of Mitchell, Weston and Trinity Farr. He is also survived by a sister, Cherie (Elvin) Moody, and two brothers, Lawry and William (Cindy) Babitt. He was preceded in death by his father, Grorge Babitt and mother Virginia Eileen (mickey) Babitt. He retired from Sectional Die Company, presently Shiloh Industries. He served in the U.S. Army, a Vietnam veteran, in the 25th Infantry Division, receiving the Bronze Star. A 48-year member of the Wellington Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2051, and was a member of the Wellington American Legion. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and attended all of the various activities in which they were involved. Traveling, watching sports and golfing with his friends and family gatherings made his life enjoyable. Dan was a wonderfully campassionate, courageous man and will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to "The Babitt Scholarship Fund". Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington, OH., where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
