Obituary

Daniel Phillip Pruitt went to be with his Lord on Sept. 11, 2008 at University Hospital after suffering from a long illness. Born May 17, 1962 in Lorain, Daniel was a Black River High School graduate. In Daniel's early career he owned his own trucking business. He also worked for DW Nesbitt and Sons and at the U.S. Postal Service for 17 years. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles No. 2051. Daniel was a good athlete and a talented musician who enjoyed making music; he also held a private airplane pilot license. Daniel will be very missed by his family and many friends. Survivors include his parents, Russell C. and Clarice K. Pruitt, Sr. of Wellington; a daughter, Holly Pruitt of Homerville; a sister, Phyllis Parks of Andover and two brothers, Mark Pruitt of Wellington and Russell Pruitt, Jr. of Norwalk. Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 13 until the time of funeral service at 12 p.m. at the Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main St., Wellington, OH with Rev. Stephen Carmany officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday, September 15 at the Garrett Funeral Home, 203 North Shady Avenue, Damascus, VA from 12 p.m. until the time of graveside service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Guynn officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Damascus, VA. Online condolences may be expressed at: www.garrettfuneralhome.com.
