Daniel Clayton Skidmore, 59, of Wakeman, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the Ames Family Hospice Center, after a short illness. Born on December 9, 1961, he was the son of the late James and Audrey (nee Price) Skidmore. Daniel grew up in Grafton and was a 1980 graduate of Midview High School.

Daniel worked in construction first with Modern Poured Walls, then with Skidmore and Sons Seamless Gutters and most recently with Reaser Construction in Elyria. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. Daniel also enjoyed playing golf, and was a talented Bowler and is in the National Bowling Hall of Fame for his 300 game. Most of all, Daniel cherished time spent with his sons.

Survivors include his sons Clayton Thomas Skidmore and Andrew Dawson Skidmore, both of Sullivan; brother-in-law Kennard; nieces Michelle and Amanda and nephews Ryan and Tim; and mother of his sons, April (Dave) Lent. Daniel was preceded in death by his siblings, Diane and Duane.
