Danny Joe Phillips, 78, of Wellington, died at his residence on Wednesday, December 9, 2020. He was born in Buchtel, Ohio to the late Cecil and Vesper (nee Pargeon) Phillips on March 19, 1942. He moved to Wellington in 1976.

Danny proudly served in the US Air Force as a sergeant and traveled all over the world. Danny retired from the Ford Motor Company and was a member of the United Auto Workers in Lorain. After his retirement from Ford, he enjoyed being a First Mate on a Lake Erie charter boat. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles and VFW.

He enjoyed fishing for walleye, spending time with his family, helping friends and neighbors, and tinkering in his work shop.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Connie (nee Rhodes) Phillips; sons, Danny (Sherry) of Pataskala, Mike (Lisa) of Crooksville, Dean (Melanie) of Wellington, and 5 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers.
