Danny Ray Hamilton, 71 years of age passed away at his home in New London, Ohio on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from numerous health issues and succumbing to cancer.

Danny was born on August 17, 1949 to Vara (Kidd) and the late Bennie Hamilton in Honaker, KY.  He is one of five children moving to Michigan in the early 1950's and settling in New London, Ohio in 1955 as a child.  He worked for E. Bigelow Tile Yard, Wellington Foundry, and retiring from ACY Railroad after a work accident in the late 1980's.  Danny was a member of the New London Eagles Aerie #2869. Also, he enjoyed fixing up and painting of automobiles and was the owner of Dan's Body Shop in New London.

He leaves us to cherish his loving memory, his children.  He is survived by 5 sons as follows: Randy (Marie), Timmy, Donny (Ashley), Kevin and Benny Hamilton.  25 Grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Shepherd, Kaitlin (Colin) Dolin, Erin (Jered) Herb, Miranda Mosley and Kimberly, Patrick, Christina, Autumn, Kayla, Kassie, Hannah, Kylie, Summer "Kyle", Sierra, Gavin, Dravin, Carissa, Bravin, Stormie, Kyson, Aydonn and Kenzliegh Hamilton, Andy Roe, Vada Howell and Cora Gannett; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Anna Hamilton, Darlene (Carson) Jones, Barbara Swiger and Rita (Phillip) Skinn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bennie Hamilton, stepson, James "Jamie" Thompson, grandparents and brother in law's, Larry Wooten and Bob Swiger and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 12 – 2 p.m. at the Eastman Funeral Home, 200 West Main St., New London, Ohio, where Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Grove Street Cemetery.   Online condolences may be shared at www.eastmanfuneralhome.com
