Darlene Mae Wilkins Reynolds,87, of North Ridgeville and formerly of Wellington, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at University Hospital, Elyria, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 28, 1927 in Elyria to the late Dale and Lusetta (nee Strait) Wilkins. Darlene was a 1945 graduate of Belden High School. Darlene was a homemaker who cherished the time spent taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of her community serving the Lorain County Office on Aging through their RSVP program and delivering Meals on Wheels for 30 years starting in 1978. Darlene was a member of the Wellington Church of the Nazarene as well as the Wellington Office on Aging. She enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 Years, Lester; children, Larry (Barbara) Reynolds of OK, Linda (Ron) Rowland Miller of Wellington, Diana (Ralph) Troglin of IL, Suzanne (Harry) Betts of Grafton, Dale (Ruth) Reynolds and Cheryl (Al) Petche Both of Wellington; 19 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, over 40 great grandchildren and one expected, and 8 great great grandchildren with 1 expected: and the Lord said 'Go forth into the world and multiply' and she did. Darlene was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter. Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington and again on Wednesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Hill officiating.
