Darren Keith White (56) passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 14th. Calling hours will be held October 19th from 12-2pm with a service to immediately follow at Pleasant View Old Regular Baptist Church in Litchfield. A procession will make their way to the Sullivan Cemetery for his final resting place. Dinner and reception to follow at Free Will Baptist Church in Wellington.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy M. White, and three children, Michelle (Ryan) White, Rachel (Christian) Motter, and Darren White II. His mother, Eloise White, and brother, Dana (Tammy Lynn) White, also carry on his memory. He was "Papa" to five grandchildren whom he adored with the fullness of his heart: Zoe, Eleanor, Page, Efrem, and Harriet. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Treasure, and his father, Andrew.

Darren was a lifetime resident of Sullivan, Ohio, a graduate of Black River and owner of Whites Machining & Tool, Inc.

The miracle of Darren's life was his family, who loved him fiercely and whom he loved the same. His driving hope was to provide all he could for them. Darren had a brilliant mind for numbers and engineering and could solve any problem with mental math faster than another man could draw out his calculator. He loved science fiction, classic rock, and to make a quick-witted joke under his breath causing only the wallflower to laugh. A man of few words, but mostly wise ones, and a hard worker who believed in excellent craftsmanship. But his greatest passion was his grandchildren, who opened his heart wider than he knew was possible and taught him the meaning of laughter.
