David A. Gessner, age 85, of New London died March 26, 2008 at his residence. He was born on August 12, 1922 in North Olmsted to the late Wilbur and Helen (nee Coulter) Gessner. David was a graduate of North Olmsted High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. David was a farmer. He also worked as a carpenter for many years and was a member of the local Carpenter's Union in Lorain. Survivors include his three sons, Daniel (Lenore) Gessner of Dayton, Daryl (Julie) Gessner of Opp, Alabama, Dwight (Amy) Gessner of Collins; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Irene Gessner, in 1997 and his sister, Grace. No formal services will be held. Eastman Funeral Home, New London, was in charge of arrangements.
