David A. Godsey, 71 years of age, a resident of Wellington, Ohio passed away June 27, 2022, on the day of his 52nd wedding anniversary, after a lengthy illness. He was born November 9, 1950 in Amherst, Ohio. David was an Army veteran and served in Korea. He worked as a machinist at Wedge Wire in Wellington. His favorite pastime was fishing; David traveled throughout the U.S. fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Karen Kay Godsey; son, Russ (Brandi) Godsey; granddaughter, Mikailah Faith Godsey; grandsons, Tyler (Angela) Hatfield, Sam Rainy, Matt Rainy, Stephen Godsey; several nieces and nephews and brothers, Floyd Godsey and Eddy Godsey, of Arizona.

David was preceded in death by parents, Ansil and Martha Godsey; brother, Paul Godsey; in-laws, Paul and Elizabeth Swope and daughter, Christina Marie Rainy, of Amherst.
