David Anthony Moss died unexpectedly at the age of 70 on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at his home. On November 21, 1954, David was born in Cleveland to the late Simon Anthony and Eleanor May (nee Hontert) Moss. He graduated from St. John Byzantine High School. He spent much of his life in Old Brooklyn before moving to Wellington with his family in the summer of 1995.

In 2016, David retired from ALCOA after many years. He was a loyal member of the Shawnee Lake Camping Crew for 7 years and proudly never missed a weekend.

David enjoyed playing the guitar with his son, Dan, and his grandson, Rhett. Every chance he got, David could be found riding his beloved Harley. He thrived on being outside – loved the sunshine on his face whether it was sitting by the pool or on the porch reading a book. A true craftsman, David enjoyed woodworking, carving and whittling – a talent he passed down to his sons, Greg and Kevin. He was a very handy man who loved to consult on people's projects and be the source of their tools especially for his sons. David will be remembered for his creative sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Christina "Teena" (nee Bill) Moss; children, Dan Moss, of Cleveland, Greg (Meg) Moss, of Wellington and Kevin (Courtney) Moss, of Oberlin; grandchildren, Rhett, Della, and Riggs; sister, RuthAnn Moss; niece Heidi and great niece Kayce. David was preceded by his parents and granddaughter, Rayna Moss.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. Funeral Service will be at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St., Wellington. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
