David J Poling, Mr. Honey, 'The Gutter Man', PopPop climbed his last ladder January 16th, 2025 but this ladder didn't stop at the eave of a roof for him to install a gutter, no this ladder took him to heaven.

David of Rochester passed away surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.

David was born to Dean "Babe" and Marie Poling on October 14th, 1964. Born at over ten pounds, from that day on David did everything in a big way with a big smile and big heart.

David met the love of his life Kimberly Bassett when he was just fifteen and the two married October 9th, 1982. Since then, David along with his best friend, business partner, and wife built Poling Seamless Gutters and 'X'cellent Acres and most of all a wonderful family.

David's interest included working on all types of projects from construction to trucks, tractors and farming and especially nightly rides around the farm in the John Deere with Kimberly and his dog.

David is preceded in death by his mother Marie Poling in 2020.  He is survived by his wife Kimberly; son, Joshua (Sarah) Poling their children Maria and Leah; daughter, Heather (Andrew) Barnes their children Kendall and Mason; his father, Dean "Babe" Poling Sr.; brother, Dean (Crystal) Poling Jr.; sister, Kelli Poling; Godparents, George and Mary Jo Nielsen. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and his beloved poodle, Willow.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, January 23, from 4-8 p.m. at the Wellington First Baptist Church, 125 Grand Ave, Wellington, and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Rochester Cemetery at a later date.
