David M. Taft Sr., 57, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 in Fisher Titus Medical Center, Norwalk, Ohio, surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 24, 1962 to Ida B. (Shisler) and the late Patrick A. Taft in Sandusky, Ohio and was a lifelong area resident.  David graduated in 1980 from Western Reserve High School and worked for Janesville for 27 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors, he also enjoyed going to Norwalk Raceway Park, listing to music and watching old western and action movies.  David is survived by his mother, Ida B. Taft of Collins, Ohio, by his brother, Patrick A. (Tamie) Taft Jr. of Florida, and by his sister, Cathy S. (Lawrence) Burras of Olena, Ohio.  He is also survived by his children, David M. Taft Jr., Devon G. Taft, and Elaysha "Lacey" (Dennis) Szabo.  He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick A. Taft Sr. in 2004.  Friends may call on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St.  Norwalk, Ohio 44857 where services will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.  Pastor Ray Richardson of Trinity Temple will officiate.
