Dean W. Enzor, age 92, passed from this life on October 26, 2011. Born April 23, 1919 to Roscoe B. and Florence Sparks Enzor, he was the second of four sons. He attended Greenwich Township School. While staying with an aunt and uncle in Ashland in 1936 he heard the Gospel presented by a team from Ashland Seminary and received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior.
On September 1, 1938 he married Madge L. Murray. Before her passing they celebrated their 71st anniversary. Sixty-five of those years were lived at their home in Greenwich where they extended gracious hospitality to scores of friends, relatives and people in various Christian ministries.
After working for the B & O Railroad, Dean worked at Westinghouse in Mansfield for 34 years. For 40 years he was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah. After moving to Knox Country in 2005 he attended Clear Fork Alliance Church. Since early in 2010 he was a resident of Lexington Court Care Center.
In addition to his wife Madge, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald and by his three brothers: Dale, Boyd and Richard. He is survived by his son Russell (Susan); by daughter-in-law Twila Alger; by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwich Greenlawn cemetery at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29th. Friends and relatives are welcome to this brief service and to a fellowship meal which will follow immediately at Bethel Baptist Church at Savannah. Following the meal, at approx. 1:30, a memorial service will be held at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that gifts in memory of both Dean and Madge be made to Bethel Baptist Church or Clearfork Alliance Church or Southview Grace Brethren Church in Ashland.
