Deanna Rae Adkins, 69, of Wellington, passed away after a long illness on April 11, 2013 at home with her family. Born and raised in Joliet, IL, Deanna was the daughter of the late John and Marjorie Benson. She lived in Ohio most of her adult life.
Deanna worked at many area nursing homes as a nurse's aide and retired from Webers Nursing Home in Wellington. Her hobbies included playing Bingo and going to garage sales. Deanna treasured spending time with her family; she especially adored her grandkids and great grandkids. She also loved her dog, Remy.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, James; children, Roxann (Scott) Danico, of Sheffield Lake, Gloria (Craig) Pasters, of Elyria, Butch Vestal, of Bristol, TN, Shannon (Steve) Placek, of Abingdon, VA, Waylon Adkins, of Elyria, Yantes (Jacob) McBride, of Elyria; stepchildren, Gord (Opal) Adkins and Tony Adkins, both of Lorain; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 3 brothers. She was preceded in death by many siblings and her grandson, Clarence "Bear" Longstreth.
