IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Joan
(Oates) Arlin
April 12, 1957 – November 9, 2020
Deborah Joan Arlin passed away November 9th, 2020 at Fisher Titus Medical Center in Norwalk, Ohio. She was born on April 12, 1957 in Norwalk to Anna Dean (Barnett) Cox and the late Roger Lynn Oates.
Deborah was the light of any room she walked into with her big smile and infectious personality. She spread true and genuine love to her family and friends.
Throughout her life she had several jobs and was always able to keep lasting relationships with the people she touched anywhere she went. To say she was organized is an understatement. Any place she worked she was the glue that held everything together and was loved by anyone that worked with her.
She was proud to create a home that was welcoming and inviting. Those that would enter her home would comment on the beautiful decor both inside and out.
As a mother she raised two sons, Troy, and Nathan Knoll, who she loved with all her heart. Deborah's life was based around her family, starting with her husband Jim Arlin who she was married to for 29 years. Jim and Deborah perfectly complimented one another as was often stated by those who met them throughout the years. Their marriage should be the standard that anyone would want to attain. No day was ever started or ended without them letting each other know how important each one was to the other, and their love that was truly the admiration of many.
Deborah will be greatly missed by her 7 grandchildren Drake, Dyllan, Trey, Price, Dalton, Nash, and John-Luke Knoll. The children were the focus of her life each day. Whether it be attending their ball games, picking them up from school or simply spending time with her granddaughters teaching them how to can from the garden, bake different recipes or teaching them how to knit, everything she did for her grandchildren was done with absolute love.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Jim; her sons, Troy Knoll (Courtney) and Nathan Knoll (Erica); her grandchildren, Drake, Dyllan, Trey, Price, Dalton, Nash and John-Luke Knoll; her mother, Anna Dean Cox; her siblings, Cheryl North and Michael and Roger Oates.
She was preceded in death by her Father Roger Oates.
As a woman of faith in Jesus Christ we pray that her soul is in heaven with her father Roger Oates who she missed dearly.
A family memorial service is being planned and will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 55 Whittlesey Ave., Norwalk, OH 44857.
