Deleen Edna Nida, 90, of Wellington, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Keystone Pointe in Lagrange. Born on August 29, 1932, in Spencer, WV, Deleen was the daughter of Delmar and Pauline (nee Starcher) Simmons.

Deleen worked in retail for many years and retired from the Value City in Elyria. She was an active member of her church community. Deleen enjoyed embroidery and she treasured the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her children, Diane (Larry) Fox, of Spencer, Sheila (Ed) Nau, of Supply, NC, Marsha (William) Bias, of Wellington, Rick (Denise) Nida, of Elyria and Julie Freeman, of Akron; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jim (Kay) Simmons, of Spencer, WV. In 2013, Deleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Harold; she was also preceded by siblings, Phyllis, Neal, and Mason, and a great-grandson Evan.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 10, from 10 a.m. until the time of services beginning at 1 p.m. at the Wellington Freewill Baptist Church, 205 Woodland St, Wellington. Son-in-law Pastor Willie Bias will officiate. Burial will take place on Tuesday, October 11, at 10 am at River Road Cemetery, LaGrange.
