Dellavene (Della) Boyd,82, of Wellington, Ohio, passed away on February 5th, 2024.

Della was born at the head of the Boyd Branch in Dana, Kentucky to her parents, Alex (Boyd) and Sula (Watson). She had 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Della was Incredibly dedicated to career as a caregiver and manager at Smith Haven Group home from 1974 to 2009. She assisted residents to live independent and fulfilling lives. She retired once her husband (Eugene Collins) passed away. If you met Della, you'd know that she was a loving and kind human being that cared for everyone around her. She was selfless and always put others' needs before her own.

Della is survived by her devoted son, Dwight, and her cherished grandson, Tyler, along with many families and friends. Della will be severely missed, and her absence leaves a hole in our world. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Elm's Retirement Community for the care and compassion they showed towards Della and her family. Services will be announced at a later date.
