Delores O. Edwards, of Greenwich, died Saturday, August 02, 2008 at her home, she was 90. Delores was born October 11, 1917 in Wakeman, daughter of the late, Harry & Florence ( Thomas ) Sprague. Delores had attended the New London and Wakeman schools. She had resided in the North Fairfield area from 1942 to 1983, when she moved to Greenwich. She was a homemaker and a member of the Farm Women's Club (Excelsior) and the Forever Young Club. Delores was a foster parent for many years. Delores is survived by 4 daughters, Phyllis Snapp of Greenwich, Laurel Edwards of Sullivan, Irene (John) Bash of Norwalk, and Faye (Jerry) Hale of Mansfield; 2 sons, Darryl (Dordy) Edwards and Duane (Karen) Edwards all of Greenwich; 9 grandchildren; 12great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Edwards and a brother, Ray Sprague. A family graveside service will be held. Eastman Funeral Home, Greenwich is in charge of arrangements.
