Dennis K. "Denny" Maerkisch, 66, of Huron, Ohio, died on August 31, 2024, at Firelands Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on February 6, 1958, in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late Bernard L. and Patricia J. (Boles) Maerkisch.  He was a graduate of Norwalk High School.

Denny's passions began first with bodybuilding and personal training which continued throughout his entire life, eventually leading to his career as owner and personal trainer of Body Pro Personnel Training. He was extremely passionate about his monster trucks, Terminator I, II, & III, along with his love of motocross riding and racing.

He began his career as a heavy equipment operator with Missler-Gibson Contracting. He was the owner and operator of the Terminator III Racing Team, and then opened and operated Body Pro Personal Training in 1997. Since 1999 he was an Agent with the Fugitive Recovery Task Force.

Denny is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Tricia) R. Maerkisch of Huron, OH, and sisters Cathy Quigley and husband Frank of Apollo Beach, FL, Anne Maerkisch of Tiffin, OH, Barbara Maerkisch of Norwalk, OH, and Heather Maerkisch of Norwalk, OH. He is also survived by his nephews, niece, and great nieces and great nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Timothy L. Maerkisch.

In lieu of funeral services, the family will be hosting a celebration of Denny's life at a time and date in the future yet to be determined.
