September 18, 1958 — May 26, 2026

Wellington

Dennis A. Nance, 67, of Wellington, passed away on May 26, 2026, after losing his hard-fought battle to cancer. Dennis was born to Orville and Edith Nance and was a graduate of Wellington High School, Class of 1977. Dennis was a life long resident of Wellington and spent much of his life surrounded by family, friends, and the community he knew so well.

Dennis was a man of few words, but had a presence that spoke volumes, leaving behind a lifetime of memories built through hard work, loyalty, and love for his family and all things racing.

Dennis was the kind of man who could fix just about anything and was always the first to show up, whether it was to lend a hand, supervise a project, or simply make sure things were done right. His garage was his favorite place, where he spent countless hours working on projects and tinkering with anything that needed repaired, right up until he no longer could.

His home was more than just a house, it was the place everyone gathered. For years, it was the go-to spot for family, friends, and the neighborhood kids, filled with laughter, stories, dirt bikes, and memories that will never be forgotten. So many of life’s simple but meaningful moments were shared there, making it a place that will always hold a special piece of those who knew and loved him.

If you knew Dennis, it was to know that he had a love for the simple things in life - enjoying a cold beer, picking out the funniest birthday cards he could find, and anything involving dirt bikes or watching his son, Jeremy, race. He was dependable, steady, and someone his family could count on.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Nance; daughter-in-law, Chrissy Nance; and his beloved grandchildren, Morgan and Gavin Nance. He is also survived by his sisters, Brenda (Jeffrey) Cole and Melissa (David) Skinner, along with many nieces and nephews who will all cherish his memory.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Edith Nance.

In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, a small family graveside burial will be held privately. A celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date for family and friends to gather, share stories, and honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in honor of Dennis Nance. Contributions can be made to Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main St, Wellington, OH 44090 and condolences can be shared online at www.norton-eastmanfuneralhome.com.
