Diana Lee Neiding, a loving and kind soul, went to find eternal rest on March 1, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain, OH.  She was born on December 28, 1952 in Willard, OH to Joy (Corey) and the now deceased Richard Haines and was a 1971 Norwalk High School graduate.

Diana was an amazing person with utterly unique abilities and an uncanny knack for creating kinship.  She was strong, determined, independent, and gave the best hugs.  Among her many gifts, she could create art in many forms and would often be found pouring her love into sewing, canning, quilting, cooking, poetry, and most of all, upon her family, friends and even strangers in need.  A wonderful mother, caregiver, and provider, Diana will be dearly missed and forever fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Survivors include her mother, Joy E. (Haines) Funk; children, Matthew (Jen) Neiding of Novelty, OH and Melissa (Paul) Kudela of Maumee, OH; grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Thomas, Amanda, and Angela; brothers, George (Sue) Haines of Norwalk, David Haines of North Fairfield, OH and nephew, Sean Haines.

In addition to her father, Richard Haines, Diana was preceded in death by her stepfather, Corwin 'Hap' Funk.

A private family memorial visitation and service will be held at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio 44857. A public, and larger outdoor celebration of Diana's life is being planned for a later date.  The celebration will be planned for a day filled with sunshine (which she loved). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 191 Waukegan Road, Suite 105, Northfield, IL 60093-2744.  Friends are encouraged to share online memories and condolences by visiting www.walkereastmanheydingerfh.com .
